Queenstown is labelled the 'adventure capital of the world' and is the location of the first ever bungee jumping company. It is also where much of the filming took place for the Lord of the Rings films.

Picton
Picton is where to catch the Interisland ferry to the north island, and is the site of the Edwin Fox vessel - the last remaining ship to have been used to transport convicts.
